    Sadakichi Ueda started an ironworks business at 1-chome Kujodori, Nishi-ku, Osaka
    1909
    The gear-machining division was added to the business
    1915
    A gear hobbing machine by Gould & Eberhardt USA was installed
    1916
    Due to Sadakichi's illness, his wife Yone Ueda took over as representative, and the company made a fresh start as a gear manufacturer
    1927
    Kyuya Ueda took over as representative
    1931
    The Ichioka sub-plant was opened at 5-chome Kitadori Shirinashigawa, Minato-ku, Osaka
    1936
    Reorganized into a general partnership. Head office and factory were moved to Mitejima

    The new head office and factory in Mitejima marked the starting point of our operations to this day.

    1945
    Completely destroyed by fire during World War II
  • 1949
    Ueda Heavy Gear Works Ltd. was founded. Fujikusu Ueda was appointed as the first president

    1961
    A big hobbing machine by Karatsu Iron Works, Japan, was installed

    1967
    Following Fujikusu's passing, Kyuya Ueda was appointed as the second president
    1969
    Nobutsugu Ueda was appointed as the third president

    A MAAG SH-600/735 gear shaper was installed

    A ceremony celebrating the new installation was held on July 24, 1974.

    1981
    Ichiro Ueda was appointed as the fourth president

    A Gleason No.655 spiral bevel gear generator was installed
    1990
    Another Gleason No.655 spiral bevel gear generator was installed
    1992
    A MAAG SH-250/300S was installed
  • 1997
    Following Ichiro's passing, Masakatsu Ueda was appointed as the fifth president

    Head office was renewed
    2008
    A bevel single flank tester, gtb1250, was installed
    2011
    The MAAG SH-250/300S was CNC retrofitted
    2013
    Factory No. 8 was newly built and an HHS-500 hobbing machine was installed
    2014
    The MAAG SH-600/735 was CNC retrofitted
    2016
    Factory No. 9 was rebuilt and a P5000G profile grinding machine and PM1418 gear tester were installed
    2019
    The dining hall was completely renovated and turned into a cafeteria
    2021
    The HHC-150/200A was CNC retrofitted into a dedicated end milling machine
    2022
    A CNC-retrofitted Pfauter hobbing machine, PE-1600/2000S, was purchased from Germany
    2026
    Expanded Factory No. 5 and installed a Gleason Pfauter heavy-duty large hobbing machine, P-4000
